Ember (HeyEmber.ai) is operated by LittleRedCode Pte Ltd, a company registered in Singapore. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

Account: Email, display name, profile photo (via Google sign-in)
Profile: Date of birth, country, relationship details you choose to provide
Conversations: Messages you send to Ember and AI responses

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the service, maintain your account, ensure safety, and communicate with you. Your messages are processed by AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq) to generate responses. These providers do not use your data for training.

4. Your Privacy

This is fundamental to how Ember works:

Your conversations are private. Your partner cannot see what you share with Ember.
Ember uses context from both partners to ask better questions and help you think more clearly, but never reveals what one partner said to the other.
We will never disclose your messages to your partner.

Your conversations are encrypted. Our team does not read your messages unless our safety system detects a potential crisis—in that case, a trained team member may review to ensure you receive appropriate support.

In the future, you may have the option to share data for research in exchange for benefits. This will always be opt-in.

5. Data Protection and Retention

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your data while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

Upon account deletion:

Immediate: Your account is deactivated
30 days: You can cancel deletion by logging back in
After 30 days: Personal data is permanently deleted

We do not sell your personal information. Some anonymized records (safety signals, billing) may be retained for legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, export your data, and withdraw consent. Use in-app settings or contact privacy@heyember.ai.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws (PDPA in Singapore, CCPA in California, GDPR in the EU). We respond to requests within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Ember is not intended for users under 18 years of age.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in the Service.
